I originally came to this office because I was referred by the VA as a veteran seeking treatment for pain in a specific tooth. I explained to Dr. Joseph Kim drinkwaters that I had accidentally hit the tooth and that it had been hurting ever since. I was concerned that the tooth may have been cracked or otherwise damaged. During my appointment, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. I was told that because the tooth had been injured previously, there was nothing that could be done. No referral to a specialist was offered, and I was not given any recommendations for further evaluation despite my continued pain. I am still experiencing pain in that tooth today. I did receive treatment for a different tooth from another dentist at the office, a female provider who was friendly, professional, and efficient. When I explained my concerns, she listened and took steps to help address the situation. I appreciated the care and attention she provided. I also spoke with Arlene and requested information about my next appointment, but I have not received a callback. The lack of communication and follow-up has been frustrating. I had such a great experience here from start to finish. I’ve always had bad experiences at the dentist, so I usually go in feeling really anxious and honestly not looking forward to it at all. Even though I still don’t love going to the dentist, they made this visit as comfortable and positive as possible, which really stood out to me. I’ve always had a hard time getting numb during procedures, but they actually took the time to listen to my concerns instead of brushing them off. They were patient and worked with me until they figured out exactly what worked, which made a huge difference. I didn’t feel rushed or ignored at any point. The entire team was incredibly kind, understanding, and professional. They kept checking in to make sure I was okay and explained everything they were doing, which helped ease my nerves a lot. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and want you to feel comfortable. I really appreciate the extra effort and attention they gave me, especially considering my past experiences. They turned something I usually dread into a much more manageable and even positive visit. 10/10, highly recommend!

Our first visit was amazing—very patient, very hands-on. The dentist seemed genuinely willing to help us. My mother has dementia and requires more care than most patients, and based on that first visit, I believed this was the right place for her. Unfortunately, our second visit was a completely different experience. The patience we saw before was gone. The dentist’s choice of words toward me as a caregiver was inappropriate and unprofessional. It was disappointing, especially given the special care my mother requires.

One Word: WOW! Before I found this place, I was extremely insecure about my teeth. I couldn't remember the last time I smiled. Taking the leap to choose this place has been life changing. I have been beyond thrilled with the care I receive here at Central Family Dental. All of the employees here, from the wonderful nice lady at the front desk to Dr. Drinkwater himself and all his assistants, I really do feel so comfortable with all the services I have had done here. Everyone is very knowledgeable and keeps me in the know about all my procedures. If you ever needed a sign to pick a place to get your dental care done- this is it! I have my confidence in my smile back and it feels great. CFD is the place to go! :)
